Misha Geleyn, a co-founder and DJ of Follow Me Radio, blends library music releases from Music De Wolfe, Coloursound Library and Amphonic Music Ltd. with 1980s jazz-funk vibrations for the special New Year mix full of relaxing rhythms. Inspired by the endless process of music digging, Misha invites the audience to discover rare jolly tunes that will keep you warm and cozy during the holidays. “Listen to the varied music, keep exploring and enjoying it!” says Misha.
Lay-Far, a Moscow-based producer and the owner of In-Beat-Ween Records, made a two-hour mix of joyful light-hearted beats and melodies perfect for listening before, after or at a New Year’s party. “As all of my mixes, this one is pretty varied and complete at the same time, I would call it freestyle as I just followed spontaneous groove while recording it. Dub, post-punk, disco-funk, vaporwave, old-school electro, boogie, house, afrobeat are all fused together in an inspiring and uplifting mix which will smoothly lead you to 2017,” says the producer. “Wishing you all love, peace, patience and mutual understanding! Take care and respect each other!”
Timofey compiled a mix loaded with heart-piercing psych folk and downtempo ballads to come down a bit and think about life after the New Year's party. “This mix is perfect to listen to in the forests of Karelia or at dawn of the new year and contemplate after celebration,” says Timofey. Though the recording has some notes of sadness, it gives a hopeful feeling for 2017.
