Polytech, the festival of science, art and technology held by the Polytechnic Museum, invites artists, collectives, engineers and inventors to develop a project of their of own for inclusion in the festival program. On May 27-28, the festival will be held on the Industry Square of VDNKh and will combine multimedia art, scientific attractions and educational projects for adults and children. This year, the festival’s theme is “Gravity” – both the fundamental force of nature and the inexplicable attraction between people.
Organizers are interested in projects inspired by scientific ideas and interpretations of modern scientific concepts, projects that draw attention to scientists' roles today or inspire curiosity and personal research. The following media are applicable: installation, performance, public-art object, scientific attraction. Projects are to reflect the theme of the festival and be suitable for public exhibition outside.
To apply, send your CV, along with project visuals, a concept description and technical details to email@example.com. The application submission deadline is February 19. The list of participants awarded the grants will be published no later than March 3, 2017, on the website of the Polytechnic Museum.
The winners will be selected by the group of curators of the Polytech Festival. After that, the projects will be sent to the Development Fund of the Polytechnic Museum for the final approval. The project budget should only include the cost of production, excluding the artist’s fee and travel costs.
